 ke to make some time with you to celebrate midwives.</p>\n<p>Midwifery mem
 bers are invited to hear from presenters discussing their role providing m
 idwifery care across a diverse range of settings.</p>\n<p>What better way 
 to reflect on the <em>2026 International Day of the Midwife theme - One Mi
 llion More Midwives</em> than by hearing from midwives\, with varied clini
 cal backgrounds\, all contributing their unique skillset to improve outcom
 es and experiences for women\, birthing people and babies.</p>\n<p>The web
 inar will be chaired by ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ (Vic Branch) Assistant Secretary Nicole Allan
  and ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ (Vic Branch) Maternity Services Officer Mim Harrison and you wil
 l hear from:<ul><li><strong>Steph Nardella - Clinical Midwife Specialist\,
  SAGE Clinic (Substance Use\, Guidance and Education)\, Mercy Hospital for
  Women and Clinical Nurse Consultant\, Drug Health Services\, Western Heal
 th</strong>\, who will discuss the development of the SAGE Clinic and her 
 work providing specialist midwifery care to women and birthing people with
  current and historical substance use.</li>\n<li><strong>Naomi Eales and M
 aree Dell – Midwife Unit Managers\, Midwifery Group Practice (MGP)\, Weste
 rn Health</strong>\, who will discuss the establishment of the midwifery g
 roup practice caseload midwifery program at Bacchus Marsh and how it has b
 enefited staff\, clients and the community. The program celebrated its fir
 st birthday on 5 May 2026\, the International Day of the Midwife. </li>\n<
 li><strong>Professor Cath Chamberlain – Head of the Indigenous Health Equi
 ty Unit\, The University of Melbourne\, and Chief Midwifery Officer\, Cong
 ress of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurses and Midwives</strong>
 \, who will discuss her career transition from midwifery clinical practice
  to midwifery academia and the development of initiatives to educate other
  healthcare providers to improve health outcomes for First Nations familie
 s.</li>\n<p>ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ will provide an update on maternity service issues affect
 ing members and time for questions and a chat.</p>\n<p>This free online me
 mber event includes a formal one-hour agenda\, from 2pm–3pm\, with a furth
 er optional 30 minutes to continue our chat.</p>\n<p><strong> closes 1pm\, Tuesday 26 May. Registered p
